S. Jersey house fire injures two

WASHINGTON TWP, NEW JERSEY - May 7, 2008

A fast moving house fire in South Jersey has injured two people.

Flames broke out at around 2:15 on Tuesday morning in the garage of a home in the unit block of Berlin Cross Keys Road in Washington Township, Gloucester County.

The fire then quickly spread to the roof of the house. The two people inside managed to escape the flames, but they both suffered smoke inhalation.

Medics treated them at the scene. It took more than an hour to gain control of the blaze.

Investigators are searching for the cause.
