Eden had previously settled with the Oblates of St. Francis De Sales, Salesianum School and various Oblate officials, also for an undisclosed amount.
Eden's civil lawsuit, filed in 2004, sought damages for Eden as a victim of childhood sexual abuse, by James W. O'Neill O.S.F.S. a former principal of Salesianum School.
A statement released by Eden's attorney today, says the Biship of the Roman Catholic diocese of Wilmington apologized to Eden, his parents and his family for the actions of O'Neill and ackonwledged that Eden was sexually abused against his will as a young child by O'Neill.
According to Eden's attorney, this is the first time a victim of childhood sexual abuse has successfully filed a lawsuit in Delaware.
