Corzine nominates new Camden Co. prosecutor

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - May 20, 2008

If the state Senate confirms him, Warren Faulk will lead the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.

As prosecutor, Faulk would run an office of more than 200, including lawyers and detectives. He would also oversee the police department in Camden, New Jersey's poorest and most crime-ridden city.

The 63-year-old Faulk lives in Haddonfield. He has spent more than 35 years at Brown & Connery, the Westmont law firm that represents southern New Jersey Democratic Party powerbroker George Norcross.

Faulk says he is not politically active and he doesn't know whether his firm's connections were what made him the nominee.
