The National Guard is recruiting 200 civilian "extras" for a training center at Fort Chaffee in Arkansas.
They'll dress as native villagers to add some realism to mock villages under construction on the base.
The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette newspaper reports the "villagers" will get 90 dollars a day, plus free meals.
No live ammo will be used in the exercises, but the civilian extras will be acting out scenarios that include Hollywood-style explosions and other pyrotechnics.
