Eagles Sign 3rd Round Pick Smith

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - July 1, 2008 Smith, a 6-foot-2, 245-pound defensive end, starred at Division I-AA McNeese State, recording 31 sacks and 187 tackles in 31 games.

Smith was a finalist for the Buck Buchanan award after his junior season, when he tallied 13.5 sacks and 84 tackles.

The only two Eagles draft picks still unsigned are second-round selections Trevor Laws and DeSean Jackson.

The Eagles open training camp when rookies and selected veterans report July 21.
