Suspect named in restaurant holdup

PHILADELPHIA - July 8, 2008

Philadelphia Police tell Action News that Lamea Hall surrendered to authorities Monday afternoonthe robbery of the Boston Market restaurant at Torresdale and Cottman Sunday night.

Police say Hall has 8 prior arrests and they linked him to the robbery through fingerprints that were left at the scene of the crime.

The robbery happened June 29th when, police say, Hall came in at closing time and asked to use the restroom.

An employee unlocked the door, and when Hall emerged he pulled out a shotgun. The suspect gathered the employees in one area and demanded the manager to empty the safe, according to police.

Hall allegedly locked the employees inside the safe before he fled the scene with an undetermined amount of cash.
