Few people have time to go to all the markets to get all the best buys, but you might find it useful to pick the closest two stores to home (or work) and take advantage of the best buys they offer each week.
To make the most of your supermarket savings, sign up for the store's savings club card. Without a card, you won't be able to get most of the sale prices listed below. There's no cost to get these cards. And often they get you additional savings, plus other benefits. For example, they may mail you or a coupon to get a dollar amount or percentage off a total shopping order.
Here's something you may not have known about supermarket weekly sales. The prices and items can change depending on the store location. For example, tomatoes may be on sale at one price in Trenton, New Jersey, but sell for a different price in Exton, Pa. To find out what's on sale at your local store, go to the chain's website, type in that store's zip code and double-check that the special price is being offered at that location.
