A home invasion ended in murder in Philadelphia overnight. Action News was on the scene in the 3100 block of Memphis Street in Port Richmond.

Investigators say it was a home invasion that turned into a murder when the victim fought back against his attackers... and tried to get help.

Philadelphia Police Captain Daniel Castro says, "The male burst out of the window, ran across the street looking for some assistance, help and he went back inside. Police found him inside."

Officers found a 20-year-old male shot in the legs, chest and stomach.

He was later pronounced dead at Temple University Hospital.

Police are looking for two men who witnesses say fled the scene... north along Memphis Street.
