Woman also guilty in massive child porn case

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - September 18, 2008

The federal verdict Thursday against Dorothy Prawdzik comes a day after the same jury convicted co-defendant John Jackey Worman of more than 50 child-pornography counts.

Prosecutors say the 44-year-old Prawdzik helped pose children as Worman videotaped them in a baby sitter's home. They say Worman also sexually assaulted some of the children, including three infants.

Both the 41-year-old Colwyn man and Prawdzik, of Drexel Hill, face at least 15 years in prison when they are sentenced Dec. 18. The baby sitter also pleaded guilty.

Defense lawyer Steven Laver says Prawdzik acted under duress following threats from Worman.
