Deadly shooting at firing range

October 10, 2008 8:11:08 AM PDT
Cheswold police say a man at an indoor shooting range died of a single gunshot wound to the head during target practice.

Police Chief Glenn Condon says the man was killed by a round from his own pistol, but Condon isn't saying whether the round was a ricochet or an accidental discharge. Foul play is not suspected.

Authorities have not released the man's name but say he was 23-years-old.

The incident occurred Thursday afternoon while at Shooter's Choice on North DuPont Highway.

Condon says there were other patrons in the range at the time.
