Police investigating N. Phila. double murder

Two people are dead after a midday shooting in North Philadelphia. The shooting happened just before 1:00 this afternoon at the intersection of West Indiana and Mutter Street.

Police tell Action News that two men walked up to a garage on the 200 block of West Indiana and shot two men with an assault rifle.

Police say that one of the victims was a man who rented the garage to sell second hand furniture.

One of the men died at the scene. The other was in transport to Temple University Hospital when he died.

Homicide detectives are investigating. The 2 men fled on foot. No word on if the men were robbed.
