A man was found shot in the head last night in Wilmington, Delaware. Last night at approximately 11:32 police responded to the 400 block of West 30th Street in regards to shots being fired. Upon arrival officers found a 29-year-old Wilmington man suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was transported to the Christiana Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police say it appears that the victim was leaving a house on 30th Street when he was shot. The suspects were described as 3 black males wearing dark clothing, hooded sweatshirts and tan boots.

According to police, last nights homicide surpasses the record number of homicides in the city. In 2006 there were 23 homicides, included in that number are three police shootings. Last nights homicide is the 23rd this year. So it ties the 2006 record if you count the police shootings and passes the 2006 record if the police shootings are not included.
