Arrest made in NJ fatal stabbing

BURLINGTON CITY, N.J. - November 8, 2008 Andre P. Scott, 25, of Waln Street in Philadelphia, was charged with murder for the stabbing death of Roy E. Davis Jr., 18, of MacDougal Street in Brooklyn.

Davis was stabbed at approximately 8 p.m. on November 2 behind the Exit 5 Studios at 451 High Street.

Davis and Scott were acquaintances. They had been inside the studio recording a CD prior to the stabbing.

Davis was pronounced dead at Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County in Willingboro at approximately 9:10 p.m. An autopsy revealed that Davis died as a result of multiple stab wounds.

Scott was arrested Friday afternoon in Philadelphia. He is awaiting extradition to New Jersey.

The homicide was investigated by detectives from the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit and the Burlington City Police Department.
