Search for suspect in bus driver assault

NEW CASTLE, Del. - November 11, 2008- The incident happened around 12:57 p.m. on October 28th. According to police, the suspect in question repeatedly rang a bell, signaling the driver to stop the bus. However, each time the bus stopped, no one got off.

The driver eventually saw the suspect ringing the bell, and asked the person to stop or get off the bus.

After that person rang the bell again, the driver demanded that person get of the bus.

Police say, at that point, the suspect assaulted the driver, got an umbrella from their seat, and assaulted the bus driver again.

Authorities sent a photo showing the person. They are not sure if the suspect is male or female. Ther person is desribed as 25 to 30 years old, with a large build, a round face, wearing a black jacket with white stripes on the arms with curly hair.

The suspect eventually got off of the bus and the driver called for the police. The bus driver did not require medical attention.
