Former Del. principal sentenced

GEORGETOWN, Del. - November 14, 2008 - Goodman was arrested in May of this year after it was discovered he'd had a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student, between January and May.

Goodman pleaded guilty in September, to two counts of 4th degree rape, one count of felony endangering the welfare of a child and one count of official misconduct.

He was sentenced to 15 years on the first count of rape suspended after 4 years and the completion of an intensive sex offender treatment program while in prison.

He was sentenced to 15 years on the second charge of rape which was suspended.

Goodman got 1 year on each of the other two charges, endangering the welfare and official misconduct, both also suspended.

After his release he will be on work release for a year followed by two years of probation and will be required to register as a sex offender.
