Fla. man charged with raping Del. teen

MILFORD, Del. (AP) - January 4, 2009 State police say Joseph Cunningham of Apopka, Fla., was arrested Friday. He's been charged with three counts of third-degree rape, one count of fourth-degree rape and two counts of unlawful sexual contact.

Police say Cunningham communicated with the victim, who's from Milford, on the Internet. He drove to Delaware from North Carolina to meet her, then drove her to a secluded area near her home, where they engaged in sexual activity. Police say there was additional inappropriate contact at the girl's home.

Police used Cunningham's cell phone to track him to a convenience store in Dover, where he was arrested without incident by Dover police.
