Banana truck overturns in Hockessin

Route 41 in Hockessin, Delaware is open again after being shut down due to a truck crash.A tractor trailer loaded with bananas flipped on its side and briefly caught fire as it headed onto the merge from Route 48 west Thursday afternoon.

State police believe the truck was traveling too fast to take the curve safely.

Driver Christopher Parsons of Ohio was ticketed for unsafe speed.

Parsons was taken to Christiana Hospital for minor injuries.

No bananas spilled out of the truck.
