Coach found not guilty in scuffle with parent

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) - January 28, 2009 But District Judge Anthony Rapp says when high school sports get to that point, "morally, I think the whole thing stinks."

Testimony differed Tuesday on whether Salisbury High girls coach Ken Shankweiler lunged at parent John Hrebik with a forearm to the throat during the Dec. 20 game, or just put his hands on Hrebik's shoulders and fell toward him. Accounts conflict on whether Hrebik yelled at Shankweiler twice, or many times.

The school in Allentown lost by a disastrous 62-19 to Wilson Area High. Shankweiler resigned days later. Rapp also cautioned Hrebik, if he attends more games, to go as "a silent spectator."
