Police investigate NJ kidnap report

Police say they'll file charges if the reported kidnapping of a 17-year-old New Jersey girl turns out to be fake. An Amber Alert was issued early Tuesday morning for Alexis Valle after her 15-year-old brother called police to say she was abducted.

The brother told authorities he and his sister were walking the family dog around 10:30 p.m. Monday when two men jumped out of a car, pulled Valle inside, and sped away.

Bergenfield Police Chief Rick McGarril says it appears Valle voluntarily got into a car with three friends of her boyfriend.

Valle contacted Bergenfield police hours after the alert went out and said she was in Hackensack. Police picked her up and reunited her with her family.

No one has been charged in the case.
