Campbell suffered serious injury and was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center City Campus.
McGee suffered a fatal injury and was pronounced dead at scene by the Atlantic County Medical Examiner's Office. It is suspected that he experienced a medically related episode prior to crossing over the center line and impacting the northbound motorist.
McGee was extricated from the vehicle by members of the Cardiff Volunteer Fire Company utilizing the "Jaws of Life." Members of the Bargaintown Volunteer Fire Company initially responded to the report of a possible vehicle fire. Members later assisted in McGee's extrication.
Multiple Egg Harbor Twp. EMS and AtlantiCare ALS personnel responded.
The roadway was closed and traffic was detoured for approximately two hours while the collision was being investigated and cleared. The crash is being investigated by the Egg Harbor Twp. Police Department Traffic Safety Unit in cooperation with the Atlantic County Fatal Collision Unit.
