A 24-year-old Delaware repairman is charged with taking $13,000 in jewelry from homes where he was working on the heating system.

New Castle County Police say Matthew Hartnett of New Castle is charged with felony theft and felony sale of stolen property after police found the jewelry at a pawn shop.

Police say Hartnett stole about 100 pieces of gold jewelry, while he repaired heaters. The thefts were reported from at least two homes.

He allegedly pawned the items during 25 trips to pawn shops.

Police are still trying to find the owners of all the items.
