Prescription discount card expands access

One of the prescription drug discount programs is expanding access, due to the rising number of uninsured Americans.

'Together RX Access' now says families of 4 making up to $ 90-thousand a year may be eligible for drug discounts.

$60-thousand used to be the maximum.

A number of major drugmakers, including Abbott and Janssen, are partners in the program. The card is free to get, and free to use as many times as needed.

More than half of all Americans say they have cut back on healthcare, due to economic worries.
