Police have not been able to determine whether the remains are that of a male or female or how long the person has been dead.
The medical examiner will perform an autopsy to determine cause of death.

Human skeletal remains found in field
JUNIATA - March 25, 2009 Police say six juveniles were playing in a field around 3:30 p.m.
in the 4300 block of Potter Street when they found the remains.
