OCEAN CITY, N.J. - April 6, 2009- Investigators say the scammers will copy online listings for legitimate real estate sales, and then re-post them on the website Craigslist as a rental.
Then, they collect rental applications, along with fees.
Investigators say the contact for these listings is from a foreign country.
Anyone who has information about this internet scam, or feels they have been victimized, should contact the Ocean City Police Detective Bureau at (609)399-9111.
