Homeowner hit by suspected burglar's car

CHADDS FORD, Pa. - May 6, 2009 Two men are being sought in connection with a residential burglary in Chadds Ford, Delaware County.

It happened around 6:30 p.m. on Bellefair Lane.

Police say a 32-year-old male resident walked into his garage and saw a man in his father's vehicle.

The intruder fled out of the garage and into a black Mercedes in the driveway with a second man inside.

The resident gave chase and tried to grab the driver through the driver's side window.

The homeowner was then drug by the vehicle and was thrown to his front yard.

The vehicle drove over a large bush on the victim's yard and broke two lights on the front yard.

The second man got back into the Mercedes and the two men fled towards state route 202.

The Mercedes is a late model sedan, black in color, with probable undercarriage damage and possible driver side damage.
