One soldier shooting victim from NJ

TRENTON, N.J. - May 13, 2009 - Sgt. Christian Bueno-Galdos was 25 and had lived in Paterson since he was 7. The Peruvian native was assigned to a unit based in Germany and was on his second tour in Iraq.

Bueno-Galdos' parents say he was the youngest of four children and joined the Army right out of high school. He was married but had no children.

Monday's killings are the deadliest of the Iraq war involving soldier-on-soldier violence.

Sgt. John M. Russell was taken into custody outside the mental health clinic at Camp Liberty following the shooting. He's charged with five counts of murder and one of aggravated assault.
