Police say Cristina Almodovar was driving an SUV that went into the center median. She overcorrected, causing the vehicle to overturn several times. Almodovar was partially ejected and died at Christiana Hospital.
Her 11-year-old son, Darian Almodovar, was in the front passenger seat and was seriously injured. He was flown to Christiana. Her two younger children, 8-year-old Brianna Jiminez and 5-year-old Jordan Guzman, were in the back seat and suffered minor injuries.
