Police say a driver who plowed into two parked cars on a Northeast Philadelphia street, had gone into diabetic shock just before the accident.

The driver was heading down the 12,000 block of Medford Street about 1:30 on Tuesday morning, when investigators say he passed out.

His SUV then smashed into two parked cars, flipping one of them on its roof.

The 50-year-old man who was driving the car was taken to the hospital where he is in stable condition.
