The incident occurred Saturday morning in a school bus contractor's parking lot in Warwick.
Lt. Bernard Chiominto says the first three times 55-year-old Randall Roberts of Smyrna, Del., was hit, the impact sent him rolling over the Honda Civic but he struggled to his feet. Chiominto says 45-year-old Charles Wesley drove the Civic over Roberts on a fourth pass, before an off-duty deputy intervened.
Roberts' face, body and legs were injured, but he refused treatment.
Chiominto says the men had been feuding for 20 years.
Wesley is charged with attempted first-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment.
