Initial reports are the wounds appear consistent with that of shotgun pellets.
She was rushed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania as a trauma alert with stable vital signs.
No arrests have been made.
Police are trying to determine where the shots originated.
The woman is expected to recover from her injuries.
