Trucker charged in fatal SE Pa. accident

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) - June 9, 2009 Police say the container being hauled by 29-year-old Robert Kostadinov, formerly of Columbus, Ohio, and now of Chicago, exceeded the legal limit of 13 feet 6 inches when it struck the overpass on Route 22 near Allentown on Nov. 18, 2008.

The SUV driver, 42-year-old Michelle LaMaze, of Whitehall Township, died at the scene.

According to court records, Kostadinov did not know how high the container was or how fast he was going.

LaMaze's family has filed a federal lawsuit against Kostadinov and Vidov Trucking of Indiana.
