Artists offer works for services, not money

The concept of "Art 4 Barter" is one that seems to be catching on.

Now, some artists in Chester County, Pa., are offering their works for sale, not for cash, but for services they need.

For example, a dentist might get a painting in exchange for filling a tooth. A sculptor may give one of his works to a person who can set up a website for him.

An exhibit of artworks, along with the services the artists are requesting, is going on through Sunday, June 19, 2009, at the Chester County Art Association, 100 North Bradford Avenue, in West Chester, Pa.

Saving with 6abc did a story about a similar show that took place in New Jersey a few months back. To check out that story, click here.
