No charges in fatal pedestrian accident

Police say no charges will be filed in an accident this morning that claimed the life of a pedestrian.It happened around midnight at Bustleton and Rhawn in the Rhawnhurst section Philadelphia.

Investigators say Vincent Parisano, 71, was crossing the street when the stepped off the median into the path of a vehicle.

The car then swerved and slammed into a sign post.

The post went through the windshield on the driver's side, but did not strike the driver.

After Parisano was struck, he was taken to Frankford-Torresdale where he was pronounced dead.

The driver was not hurt.
