Murder suspect arrested in Egypt

PHILADELPHIA - June 18, 2009 The FBI has announced the arrest of Kyree Slocum. Police say Slocum, 35, is the allegedly responsible for the double homicide that took place on Marshall Street in Philadelphia on October 23, 2008.

Slocum allegedly shot four individuals, two of which were pronounced dead at the scene and the other two were taken to a local hospital where they were treated and released for gunshot wounds.

Slocum was arrested on May 29, 2009 in Cairo, Egypt by the Egyptian Authorities along with FBI Agents assigned to the Cairo Legat office.

Following Slocum's arrest, arrangements were made for Slocum to be repatriated to the United States. Philadelphia FBI agents and Philadelphia Police Department homicide detectives assigned to the FBI Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force traveled to Cairo, Egypt to take custody of Slocum and transport him back to Philadelphia, PA.

Slocum is from the 3800 block of West Cambridge Street, Philadelphia, PA.
