The Aerial Saw helps utility companies trim trees along high-voltage transmission lines.
The saw was demonstrated yesterday by Entergy Arkansas and Aerial Solutions.
It's one of six flying saws Aerial Solutions leases to power companies from the Midwest to the Deep South.
The flying saw is actually a 20-foot stack of saws that dangle from a helicopter.
It's not cheap.
Power companies pay nearly $2,000 an hour for the service.
But officials say it's safer and cheaper in the long run than having crews trim the trees with chain saws.
