Search for Valley Green Bank robber

The FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department are seeking the public's assistance to identify and locate the suspect responsible for the robbery of the Valley Green National Bank branch located at 7226 Germantown Avenue in Philadelphia earlier today.At approximately 1:35 p.m., a man entered the bank and presented a threatening demand note to a teller.

The man is described as a black male, light complexion, in his early to mid 30's, 6' tall, thin build, with a reddish brown beard and mustache that is possibly fake, wearing a tan or light colored baseball cap, large sunglasses, and a lime-green checkered short-sleeved button down shirt.

After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, which the suspect placed into a red and white bag that he brought into the bank, he fled on foot headed westbound on Mt. Airy. There were no injuries.

The suspect is considered armed and dangerous, and anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department. There may be a reward for information leading to the identification and apprehension of this subject. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
