Suspect sought in three bank robberies

PHILADELPHIA - July 31, 2009 The suspect, Anthony Thomas, 28, has been charged via criminal complaint for the crimes.

Thomas has been charged with the armed robbery of the United Bank of Philadelphia's Progress Plaza branch located at 1501 North Broad Street in Philadelphia on Wednesday, July 29th; The robbery of the same United Bank of Philadelphia branch on July 25th; And the robbery of the United Bank of Philadelphia University City branch located at 3748 Lancaster Avenue on July 27th.

Thomas is considered armed and dangerous, and anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department. There may be a reward for information leading to his apprehension.
