Teen charged with trying to rape girl

MILTON, Del. (AP) - August 12, 2009 The 12-year-old victim disclosed the incident in an interview with another state agency, which alerted police in Milton.

Police say an investigation found that the boy allegedly used force when he tried to rape the girl a year ago in Milton.

The boy was charged Monday with attempted rape and unlawful sexual contact, in addition to two outstanding warrants out of Sussex County Family Court.

The boy was committed to the Stevenson House in lieu of $11,500 bail.
