A man shot on a Germantown street, managed to escape from the gunman by hopping onto a SEPTA bus.

It happened about 11:20 on Monday night, at Wayne and Manheim streets.

The victim was shot in the buttocks and stomach near that intersection, then groped his way to a Route 53 SEPTA bus, and climbed aboard.

Medics and police quickly arrived and took the victim to Temple University Hospital.

There's no word on his condition.

Police are hoping to find out from the man if he knows his attacker.
