Man shot 8 times on Philadelphia street

KENSINGTON - October 19, 2009

According to police, the shooting happened at around 11:30 Sunday night when 5 males approached and robbed two males outside on the 2300 block of North Hancock Street.

The suspects first stole cigarettes and cell phones from the victims before one suspect began firing shots.

One person, an 18-year-old man, was shot multiple times in the torso. He was transported to Temple University Hospital where he remains this afternoon in critical, but stable condition.

Police continue to investigate and are searching for the four black males involved in the robbery and one additional male, believed to be the shooter.

The shooter is described as a 20-year-old man about 5'7" and was last seen wearing a white and brown hooded sweatshirt and dark jeans.
