It happened around 3:30 p.m. in the 100 block of East Chester Pike.
Police say the driver had to swerve to avoid hitting a bus, only to hit a telephone pole.
The pole fell to the ground as live wires fell on the car.
The woman was stuck inside until PECO could arrive and turn off the power.
Once that was done, she was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
