"The Blind Side" drops to second.

"Invictus" -- directed by Clint Eastwood -- opens at number-three.

Matt Damon and Morgan Freeman star in the story of South Africa's rugby team.

Freeman plays South African leader Nelson Mandela.

With three weeks to go, 2009 is already off the charts as a record year.

And 2009 is on track to be the first 10 billion dollar year for the movie business.

Potential blockbusters set to open in the next few weeks include "Avatar" directed by James Cameron and "Sherlock Holmes" starring Robert Downey Jr.
