That came during a preliminary hearing for Tyrone Wiggins.
Investigators say Wiggins first assaulted the girl when she was only 12 years old, and the incidents continued into her adulthood.
They say he met the victim at the Olney Recreation Center, where Wiggins was a karate instructor.
The horrendous acts continued for 8 years until the victim went to police in 2007.
However, he was not arrested until November, 2009. Furthermore, the rec center was never notified about allegations against Wiggins.
A department spokesperson says a full investigation is underway to determine why the recreation department was never notified about the allegations.
Wiggins faces rape, statutory rape and other charges.
