More NJ doctors heading to Haiti

CAMDEN, N.J. - January 18, 2010

The Norcross Foundation donated its private plane to fly the trauma surgeons, physicians, nurses and medical techs to the Dominican Republic.

The plan is to set up in Jimani, a border town, and tend to patients transported across to them.

The 18 medical professionals include doctors with experience in West Africa and disaster trauma such as Hurricane Katrina, plus an EMS worker who can translate.

If you would like to help this mission to Haiti, Cooper Health says the team is in need of crutches for both children and adults.

You can drop off crutches to the valet at One Cooper Plaza from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Bone and Joint offices on Voorhees, and Newtown Square, Pa.; and in the Marketing Department at 3 Executive Campus in Cherry Hill.
