State Police say 48-year-old Donna Andrews was struck while trying to reach the median on Route 13 around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday. Police say she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the woman was not in the area of a marked crosswalk and alcohol impairment on her part is believed to be a factor in the crash.
State police say no charges are expected to be filed against the driver of the car, 50-year-old John Iziken of Middletown, although the crash remains under investigation.
