Twenty-five-year-old Tyree Bass was found guilty Wednesday of second-degree murder and aggravated assault in the 2008 slaying of 20-year-old Emine Hajredinia.
Hajredinia was seven months pregnant when Bass shot her. Doctors were able to save her unborn daughter, who authorities say suffers from physical disabilities as a result of the attack.
Prosecutors say Bass went to Hajredinia's house intending to set it on fire over an unpaid debt and instead shot her.
A sentencing hearing is scheduled for April 22.
