Police: Car intentionally strikes high schoolers

AMBLER, Pa. - March 20, 2010 It happened just as the students were leaving a dance at Wissahickon High School in Ambler.

A 16-year-old boy was dragged 30 feet before the car sped away.

Another boy was brushed by the car.

Both teens were taken to Abington Memorial Hospital.

The 16-year-old is said to have sustained multiple injuries.

Police recovered the striking car with a smashed windshield on Penfield Street in West Oak Lane early Saturday morning. The driver had fled.

Authorities say the driver and the victims got into an altercation earlier in the night which led to the crime.
