Police responded to the 7-11 store located in the 5600 of Ridge Avenue around 7:00 a.m. after a man armed with a syringe entered the store and demanded money from the clerk.
The suspect fled the scene on foot.
Police responding searched the area after getting a description of the suspect, and were able to apprehend a man a short time later on Walnut Lane.
There is no word if the man is the same suspect wanted in a recent rash of robberies involving a the use of a syringe.
