Suspect in Phila. bank robbery identified

PHILADELPHIA - April 15, 2010

The FBI said the man they're looking for is Joseph Baer, 39.

Investigators say Baer has no known fixed address at this time, but is known to frequent casinos. He is originally from the Northeast Philadelphia area, and returned to the Philadelphia area sometime around February of 2010 after a six year absence.

Images of the bank robbery were captured at PNC Bank at 6855 Frankford Avenue on Tuesday afternoon.

The FBI said Baer came in around 2:36 p.m. and verbally threatened a teller. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, Baer fled the area of the bank on foot.

Baer is described as a white male, 5'7" to 5'9" tall, medium build, with closely cropped dark salt-and-pepper hair and clean shaven.

He was also wearing a green Philadelphia Eagles Donovan McNabb jersey.

According to the FBI, Baer is considered armed and dangerous.
