Palin e-mail jury: Stuck on 1 charge, agreed on 3

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - April 29, 2010

The deadlocked charge is identity theft.

U.S. District Judge Thomas Phillips told the jurors Thursday they could deliberate longer or go ahead and announce the three verdicts on charges of wire fraud, unauthorized access to a computer and obstruction of justice.

The jury then went behind closed doors again in their third day of deliberations.

Former University of Tennessee student David Kernell is charged with breaking into the e-mail while Palin was the Republican vice presidential candidate in 2008.

He faces up to 50 years in prison if convicted of all charges.
